Fir Maige Conference

A conference on the history and archaeology of North Cork will be held in Fermoy on the first weekend of May (2nd – 4th).
Speakers include some leading academic historians and archaeologists, but the conference is aimed at bringing academic research to the general public and everybody is welcome.
The conference will also include a field trip to sites of interest in the North Cork area.
A panel of established, well-known historians and archaeologists will discuss aspects of the region’s past, setting it in its Irish and European context.
