FCYC Open Day 10th September
With one in four people now experiencing mental health related problems during their life, the promotion of health and wellbeing in the community has never been more important.
Fermoy Community Youth Centre are proud to be associated with a wide variety of clubs, practitioners and groups who offer services to the public through the centre. These include Yoga, Thai Chi, Mindfulness, Active Retirement Groups, Nutritionists and Parenting Groups. The centre also offers activities such as Racquetball, Handball, Singing Lessons, Zumba, Hip Hop, Irish and Social Dancing.
On Saturday 10th September the Fermoy Community Youth Centre will host an open day showcasing the centre and its activities from 12pm to 4pm at their centre on Ashe Quay. The event will allow the public to find out more about the large variety of activities available at the centre, as well as giving the opportunity to partake in free sessions and talks throughout the afternoon.
“The Centre has been at the heart of the community for over X years now and we’re delighted to offer so many activities, services and facilities to both our clients and the wider community. Saturday’s event gives us an opportunity to welcome the community into the centre to see what we are about” says Kieran Barry, Manager of the Centre.
Staff from the centre will be on hand all afternoon offering tours of the excellent facilities available at the centre including a Dance Studio, Consultation Rooms, Kitchen Facilities and Racket/Handball/Squash Courts. There will also be a free Children’s movie running in the Theatre from 1.00p.m., as well as a free draw for a hamper on the day.
